Git: New Branch from…
git.newBranchFrom Create a branch from any branch or tag, with or without switching to it.
How to run it
Open the command palette (M-x in the Emacs keymap) and search for Git: New Branch from…, then press Enter. It has no default keybinding, but you can bind one in Settings → Keymaps.
